MapView for each rice genome (i.e. species-specific map) is composed of three types of sub-viewers in hierachical architecture, namely ChroView/OverView, ContigView and GeneView/cDNAView. A factual report for each element contained in this visualization system will be displayed automatically on demand.
mapview content

ChroView:ChroView is based on a low-resolution physical map with sequence contigs/scaffolds aligned to, and relevant statistics of the aligned sequences and genomic elements such as SNPs, genes, cDNAs and repeats. Conserved synteny between indica (93-11) and japonica are also marked out.

ContigView:Present the annotated information of the chosen contigs/scaffolds. Anchored BAC ends, predicted genes, classes of repeats, and SNPs etc are positioned along the targeted area with distinct color-coding.

GeneView:Detailed information about each specific gene, such as exon-intron structures and protein sequences.

cDNAView:Detailed information about each specific cDNA.
